Donating or Fundraising
"Our Members, Ponies and Trustees wish to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support"
Donating to the RDA is a great way to recognise the physical and psychological benefits of riding and help even more people with disabilities to get involved.
Why not show your support today and help us say ‘Yes’ to be able to offer more rides, more therapy and more fun...
Can you help the RDA raise money to help benefit more people with disabilities have more opportunities?
A suggestions of way you could help are:-
Sponsor a Pony
For a fixed fee every month help to keep one of the RDA horses fed, hayed and looked after
Spring clean your yard and clear out the garage!
Give A Car can collect scrap vehicles and donate the proceeds to the RDA.
Do something in your local community and raise funds at the same time
Cake bake sale, Coffee morning or why not arrange a pub quiz ....
Donating couldn't be easier by just click on the below button you can make a one off payment or set up a regular donation. Every penny donated really does make a huge difference
If you would prefer to donate by post please make cheque payable to 'Papplewick RDA'
We now have a stable block which is purpose built to house three RDA Horses / Ponies, as well as having attached a purpose built tack room. We are currently planning fundraising events and seeking sponsorship in order to put the finishing touches to these stables in order to have a self contained yard purely for Papplewick RDA. These finishing touches include:
Rubber matting for three stables - for the comfort and welfare of the Horses and Ponies.
Water supply taken across to the yard and the installation of water drinkers.
Electricity taken across to the yard and the installation of lights.
Landscaping of the ground around the stable block for easy access for Horses, Volunteers and Disabled Riders.
We have also taken delivery of the Portacabin for the group. This will provide our riders with a safe place to assemble before and after their riding sessions. The Portacabin has been donated to the group however it requires quite a bit of restoration and maintenance work.
Fundraising has allowed us to re-felt the roof, but there is still work to be done on the exterior walls.
There is decorating to be carried our throughout (pain and emulsion has been kindly donated) and new floor covering to be laid.
The whole building requires water and electricity connecting to it and the toilet needs converting into a disabled toilet.
If you can help in any way with this project we would be really exciting to hear from you so please get in touch.
