MAY 2018
We are excited to announce that Papplewick RDA has been chosen as Nottinghamshire Police Charity of the year 2018. We are extremely grateful for this support and all the fundraising efforts and events planned by everyone associated with Nottinghamshire Police over the coming year.
On Tuesday 29th May 2018 we were delighted to welcome the Chief Constable Mr Guildford to Papplewick RDA. He spent time with riders and volunteers learning about how the Charity helps disabled adults and children. He was also keen to learn about the projects we are fundraising for and how any funds will be used over the coming year.

We have been very busy during May - one of our riders Ava has been enjoying not only riding but spending time around the horses in all her spare time. Both Avas parents Sam and Kev have both been extremely busy working on the RDA clubhouse. Not only has it be painted on the outside but it has started to take shape inside with an incredible amount of donations being made including a fridge, freezer, microwave and kettle so that our riders can enjoy some refreshments. We can't thank them enough for the amount of time and effort they have gone to - what a great start!
Our resident trainer, Emma Kent, has also been competing and has qualified for the Gold Semi Finals which will be held at Wellington in early June - we wish her the best of luck. Congratulations also to one of our riders, Fiona Russell, who has qualified for the RDA National Championships which will be held later in the year.

JANUARY 2019
We are delighted to announce that Papplewick RDA has been chosen as Sainsbury's Local, Nottingham Road, Ravenshead, Charity of the year.
To have the support of the local community is overwhelming.
Sainsbury's ran a Christmas Raffle to raise funds for us with some fantastic prizes on offer. The Raffle was drawn by one of our Riders Emma Sheardown and winners will be contacted directly. Watch out for further exciting events coming soon.
Nottinghamshire Police are also continuing to support the charity. They have run numerous fundraising events over the last year as well as regularly volunteering at the charity to assist in essential maintenance work. We are so grateful for their support.

The portacabin project is still under way with some exciting developments. We have been donated another portacabin which is in excellent condition and will replace the one we have been trying to repair. We hope to have this in place by early spring 2019 and this will become the RDA clubhouse.
A new disabled toilet is under development and pathways to allow easy access (including wheelchair access) from the car park to the club house.
RDA sessions are still continuing during the winter despite the weather as we have excellent outdoor all weather arenas. If you require any further information please get in touch. Details can be found on our contact page.
